This is my graduation project from the Icelandic academy of the arts. I built a pinhole camera from my childhood memories and I used it to take pictures of childhood memories.

The camera is built from things I had when I was a child, for example a shield, a clock and a stone. These things helped me relate to that time of my life. As stated above I then used that camera to take pictures of places that I used to play in when I was growing up.

I presented five pictures all mounted on wood. The Pinhole camera was in the center. This was alot of experiment for me since I had never built a pinhole camera before. I'm really happy with the results and it's a really important project for me personally.

The Einar Jónsson museum is a fantastic museum in the heart of Reykjavík. It houses the life work of Icelands first scuplture Einar Jónsson. The museum wanted to update their website with the aim of bringing much more content to the people through the website, even content that isn't shown in the actual museum. Although the site was content heavy it was important to keep the website simple and easy to naivigate. What we wanted to do with the front page was to get people involved in the museum instantly. so we made a fullscreen image gallery that people could navigate front and back before beginning the journey to the website.

This was designed in collabiration with alli metall. The website won best web design in the icelandic design awards and was one of three museums nominated to the icelandic museum awards.

Mugison contacted me and asked me if I could do a photoshoot with him. He wanted something brutal and gory.

I thought it was strange that he wanted to go into this direction with his photos but when I listened to his new music and heard his feelings on this it became more clear to me.

We initally had alot of ideas that we wanted to complete but this is the end results. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

This album cover is a collaboration with Sigurður Oddson which is the singer of the band and a good friend of mine. It's printed on uv gloss paper to enhance the slick feel of the photos.

We decided we wanted to create a album cover that had alot of conceptual contrast since we found that fitting to the bands atmosphere. I had been experimenting with symmetric photography like this and this is what we ended up using. We liked how these ugly insights were on the same time also really beautiful.

Lars Duppler is a german jazzist with strong roots to Iceland. He created a jazz album heavily inspired by Iceland. He asked me to create an album cover for him where we could incorporate those facts. I got Marino Thorlacius to photograph him on a rainy day in Iceland. I then created a collage out of those pictures.

Packaging for a coffee cup. We wanted to emphasise the cups iconic shape, so we kept the packaging simple but left the handle out of the packaging. That way we emphasise the iconic handle on the cup. When people open the box the box pops open completely exposing the cup within it. This project won in the Oddi packaging competition.

Photography book for Ewen Spencer

Ewen Spencer is a Brigthon based photographer. This is a photography book about his time with the amazing band The White Stripes. The book will be in 3 volumes and this is the first one. This one is about when he first met him and how it was getting to know them.

A funny thing happens when you first meet a person and get to know them. First you don't see the whole picture and when you get to know them more and more they start to unfold in front of you. This book is based around that concept. You don't see the whole picture when you flick through the book. But when you start taking it apart you see the whole picture, then the pictures are huge a2 posters. Completed at Red Design.

I was invited to take a part in a project that is very dear to me and I'm honored to be involved in. Memories is a book project about the memories of people who have survived cancer. Each person who was invited to take part in this would illustrate a story that they would be give as a brief.

I got a story about a man who got cancer only 6 weeks after his daughter was born. I used that as an inspiration. I drew inspiration from his relationship with his new born daughter. He needed to get through this struggle and dark times to be able to watch her blossom and grow up. For me she was his guiding light through all of this. "Live and enjoy every day" from his story is the sentence that touched me the most .

This project is a collaboration between me, Siggi Odds, Sven and Mundi. Sequences is a real-time art festival in Reykjavík, Iceland hosted annually by the Living Arts Museum. The final product consists of an idea of milk captured in time, hinting at the festival's real-time focus.

We spent way to much money on buying to many liters of milk. But we had alot of fun while the milk supplies lasted. We couldn't stand the temptation of pouring milk all over Mundi.

The posters were printed in two colous offset, black and a bright PMS 605 by an environmental friendly printer.

Poster & catalog for an exhibition

This is a project for an illustration exhibition featuring over thirty icelandic illustratiors. The challenge was how to feature all of their different styles in a one cohesive look. We got each illstrator to draw a picture of a body part. We then used these body part illustrations to represent them in the exhibition catalog, and in the meantime create a game out of it where exhibition visitors could make their own phobophobia monster. We then created our own version of the monster which we used for the promotional poster.
